Take Care of Your Friends
After her birth, Winfrey spent her first formative years living with a very strict grandmother. Her grandmother taught her to read and took her to church. By age six, Oprah was living again with her mother. It was during this time, when she was nine years old, that a cousin molested her.
While her talk show has always been informational and actually led to a more intimate confessional form of media communication, it is through her life that the public can learn how to get the best from each day’s existence.
In 1983, Winfrey hosted a low-rated talk show called AM Chicago. It didn’t take long for the low-rated show to soar to the top of the ratings. She even beat Phil Donahue out of his time slot. To this day, her talk show that generated from the AM Chicago format and was renamed The Oprah Winfrey Show is consistently in the top of the ratings game. In the mid 1990s, she even adopted a format that was more audience friendly and covered a more serious range of topics.

Struggles can Be Overcome
Dr Phil, Dr [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Oz, and even Roger Ebert have all been touched by Oprah as well as providing her with friendship, advice, and life growing experiences. She knows the value of good and trustworthy friends. And that one of the most important tenets is that to “have a friend [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], be a friend.”
Oprah genuinely comes across as someone who has as much fun as the audience; she exhibits great interest in each guest and has shared some personal and moving moments while doing her show. Oprah went against the flow and ran her talk show based on how she wanted to interact with her guests. Her success has not been topped.
It is almost a given that when you watch Oprah’s show [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], someone will be given a great prize. From her favorite things to a copy of a book from her book club, Oprah’s love of giving is apparent. On one memorable show, she actually gave each audience member a new car. In 1998, she started her Angel Network, a program that encouraged each person to try and make a dif
Everyone who has followed Oprah’s career knows that her best friend since her early 20s has been Gayle King. The two have been so close that rumors of a gay relationship have been swirling. But it is obvious they are just very close friends. Her kindness and staunch support of people who are close to her has been obvious her entire public life.
She was born into poverty to a single mother in a very small town in Mississippi on January 29, 1954. In the past 56 years, she has risen to become one of the most famous Americans alive today. She has crossed over into all media from her early days as a newscaster to her seminars on ways to live your best life. With 2011, the year she has stated as the last year she will do her popular talk show, the populace is sitting with baited breath waiting for what the future will bring for Oprah. No one can envision her retiring completely.
This trauma caused her at the age of 13 to attempt to run away from home. Her mother sent her to live with her father, Vernon, in Nashville. Vernon was a combination of the best of all her caregivers, strict but supportive. It was during this time that she became an honors student and was voted “Most Popular Girl." She won an oratory contest which guaranteed a full scholarship to Tennessee State University. Oprah changed her life and used her very difficult early years to discover what was important to her and for her life.
