We hardly recognized January Jones in the August issue of Elle since we really only know (and love) her as the WASP-y chic,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], increasingly independent wife of Don Draper (swoon,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]!) on Mad Men. She actually looks a little like Naomi Watts here with Donatella.
But we digress. She looks slick and cool and we appreciate that they didn’t do a modern “Betty” photo shoot,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], what we’re really excited about is that this means that Mad Men will be returning to us soon. August 16th in fact.
Of course we love the drama and the plots. But what lured us in from the beginning was the styling and the set design. It’s just perfection. Who knew AMC had it in them?
We can’t wait to see how the clothing evolves this season as the ladies really start to come into their own. We just know Peggy’s makeover is not even close to complete. Will Betty let loose a little more? Or will our favorite redhead Joan…because we think she might be close to some sort of sartorial (well,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and emotional) edge.
Honestly sometimes I find myself more excited about the styling on this show than I did about Sex and the City in its prime. I,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], for one,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], didn’t think that was possible.
Maybe it’s just my Camelot-era fantasies bubbling to the surface yet again. But this show even has me wanting to wear pearls and gloves.
