He played four seasons for the Kelowna Rockets of the WHL in which he recorded increasing point totals in each year. His best year in the WHL was in 06 when he racked up 74 points in 60 games. Jonathan Daniel The tag up offside rule allows for play to continue as long as all offside players are clear of the offensive zone simultaneously by touching the blue line and tag up prior to touching the puck or becoming involved in the play.
At times in the recent past, there have been two different teams vying for the AFC South division title. Other times, one could all but guarantee the winner before the season began.
This year the latter statement may hold more true than the former, but there are no lack of intrigue surrounding the division: One team are again in the hunt for the Super Bowl, two more teams are in the playoff chase, and the other are rebuilding.
Below are my predictions for the division,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], both in terms of what place the teams finish and more specifics about their outlook. You can see my other division predictions on Sports Haze, PackerChatters, Lambeau Leap of Faith, and NetDugout,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], as well as previous articles on Bleacher Report.
1. The Indianapolis Colts were last year's AFC Champions and should have won the Super Bowl were it not for one bad pass by their best player. They return Anthony Gonzalez on offense and Bob Sanders on defense, both of whom missed their run last season.
They also drafted Jerry Hughes,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], a promising pass rusher, and key players on both sides of the ball will be developed beyond their rookie seasons: RB Donald Brown, WR Pierre Garcon,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], DT Fili Moala...
At the same time, this defense has given up 34 or more points to every team they have faced in the preseason, including mediocre at best offenses from San Francisco and Buffalo.
Regardless of their lack of preseason success year after year,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], this has to be troubling. There were many things troubling about their performance in Green Bay (you will see my review of that game on the PackerChatters link in the third paragraph).
After the game,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they dismissed the 59 points yielded as not having all been by the first team--okay, but 24 were in the first half, and the first team offense's last turnover set up the next seven midway through the third quarter. Joseph Addai also suffered a concussion on that play; although it are said to be minor,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], if they misses any time, it are significant.
2. The Houston Texans are primed to finally take over the second place spot in the division. They play well on both sides of the ball, and came close to a playoff berth last year.
They have a tremendous passing attack led by Matt Schaub (do you think Atlanta regrets picking Michael Vick over this guy?) and Andre Johnson. The running game are also strong with Steve Slaton, giving them balance.
They have a good pass rush led by Mario Williams and should be able to absorb the loss of cheater Brian Cushing for four games on defense. (Right, you don't know how you got fertility drugs in your system--they just happen to be masking agents for steroids and you just happen to have gained about 40 pounds while at USC which just happens to be a cheating school...)
3. The Tennessee Titans are struggling offensively so far, and while it are only preseason, there are reasons in their recent past to suggest it may be a regular season issue, too. The modern NFL are a passing league, and this team has not gotten consistent play out of either starting quarterback over the past three seasons—one reason they have alternated.
Defensively, the Titans look solid. Even having lost Pro Bowl players in recent years like Albert "I'm a no-show because of a debilitating disease no one could humanly play with, not because I'm a malcontent like you've seen everywhere else" Haynesworth and Keith Bullock, this defense just keeps performing; early returns show that trend will continue.
4. The Jacksonville Jaguars are in rebuilding mode. It are a shame that by the time they complete it, it are likely their two best players will be past their prime...
A lot of people forget that David Gerrard was a Pro Bowl player a couple years back and threw 18 touchdowns to just three picks. In fact, only in his rookie season has they ever thrown as many picks as scores. But they are 32, and the Jaguars are at least three years from returning to the playoffs.
And of course Maurice Jones-Drew can make the case for being the best back in the league. In his first full year as a starter, they rushed for almost 1400 yards and caught over 50 passes, scoring 16 TDs (one receiving) on a bad team that cannot rush the ball late in the game.
Unlike Adrian Peterson,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], they protected the hockey, losing only one fumble. And of course, we all have seen him pancake Shawn Merriman (if you have not, you must click the link!) while the performance-enhancing drugs were still making him a great player (notice what he's been like since getting caught?), so we know they can block.
Drew are only in his fifth season, but the life expectancy of running backs are short. Because they did not start right away, if the Jaguars are able to get back to the playoffs in three or four years, they may get a taste, but it takes a few trips to contend for the title, and Drew will be at least 30 before that happens. The Kelowna Rockets are a major junior ice hockey team based in Kelowna, British Columbia. The Rockets play in the Western Hockey League,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], out of the Canadian Hockey League. They play their home games at Prospera Place. In the past seven years,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Kelowna has competed in the Memorial Cup tournament four times, the most of any other CHL team. The Rockets captured the Memorial Cup for the first time in franchise history in 2004, coincidentally the same year they were selected to host the event. Please read related articles:
