Elizabeth Taylor put on a brave face up until the end of her life. But privately, the Hollywood legend, who fought tirelessly for those suffering from AIDS, was struggling with her own health woes.
Debbie Reynolds — a friend of La Liz despite their notorious long-ago love triangle with Eddie Fisher — recalled her last conversation with the actress, two weeks before her death.
“I said,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], ‘Getting old is really [expletive],[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],’” the screen star said on “Access Hollywood.” “And she said, ‘It certainly is. It certainly is, Debbie. This is really tough.’
“I said, ‘Well, you just hang in there now, Elizabeth. And she said, ‘I’m really trying.’”

We’re glad Elizabeth is not suffering anymore. But the world has surely lost a great talent and a great humanitarian.
